Basic application areas of white masterbatches
Mar 29,2024
Masterbatch is a plastic colorant made of high proportion of pigments or additives and thermoplastic resin, which is well dispersed, and the selected resin has good wetting and dispersing effect on the colorant, and has good compatibility with the colored material. That is: pigment + carrier + additive = masterbatch. Masterbatch coloring is a common coloring method for plastics nowadays.
Color masterbatch is a new product developed in the 1960s for coloring plastics and fibers, which is a complex of polymers made by uniformly carrying pigments attached to resins. This problem, although simple, there are many possibilities, specifically:
1. The color masterbatch is not carefully tested for color, too little or too much pigments
2. Inaccurate measurement when using, the phenomenon of arbitrary measurement exists in a large number of domestic enterprises, especially small and medium-sized enterprises
3. Problems in matching color masterbatch and resin, which may be improper choice of carrier of color masterbatch, or manufacturers may change resin varieties at will.
4. Improper temperature of the machine, especially high, the color masterbatch stays in the machine for too long, resulting in color powder burning off.
White masterbatch is generally used in: injection molding, blow molding, drawing, casting , extrusion, blown film, foaming, sheet, tube, pumping granules, hollow, EVA, blowing bottles, sheets, household appliances, toys, packaging materials, wires and cables, plastic bags, automobiles, building materials, sports and leisure goods, bags, packaging bottles, and other plastic products industry. Applicable plastic raw materials PE, PO, PP, ABS, PVC and so on.
